Perhaps you have no idea
just how much I miss you
The times we spent together in Seattle
Where I once gazed upon you
Once taught you
Once cultivated the dharma
Had indeed been so spiritually noble, pure, and joyful.
Those days seem so near, yet so far away,
Like a dream
Where time and space stretch across infinity,
Passing by as if an instant, like the snap of a finger
Our affinity looked like this:
In the great ocean of life, we met,
Our spiritual conviction forever sealed, forever immovable
Our hearts locked in embrace from the moment they connected
Together we seek the Maha Twin Lotus Ponds
Together we cultivate spiritually
Together we shall never feel alone
Together we shall never feel sadness
I may have achieved purification [of spirituality],
Yet like you
I do long for the past
Looking back over the twenty years spent in Seattle
The memories replay over and over within my weeping heart
Practise well
I wish to be with you in the near future in a place of Light
[There] we will meet together again and never again shall we be
apart.
